Membership
Join GASWT
Membership is the standing way to be part of GASWT — separate from volunteering a specific skill or applying for a specific role. One application, ongoing involvement.
Membership categories
Individual
For practicing social workers, researchers and technologists who want to be part of the network on their own account.
Student
For students in social work, technology or a related field who want to get involved early in their career.
Institutional
For universities, agencies and organizations joining as institutional members of the network.
Free, while GASWT is in its founding phase
There's no membership fee right now. As GASWT's programmes and member services grow, a fee structure may be introduced in the future — existing members will be given advance notice before any change takes effect.
Why join
A network, not just a newsletter
Standing connection to GASWT's country chapters and the wider community of practice across all five regions.
A voice in the Agenda
Members are the constituency the GASWT Agenda speaks for — input runs both ways, not just outward.
First access to events
Priority notice for GASWT Day and other conferences, workshops and webinars as they're scheduled.
Professional development
Training, mentorship and skill-building programmes run through the network, including the Global Mentorship Network.
Full access to the Information Hub
GASWT's research, policy positions, reports and statements as they're published — not just the public summaries.
A GASWT Membership ID
Every approved member is issued a unique membership ID, confirmed by email — your standing identifier within GASWT.
Standing to serve
Eligibility to be considered for Country Representative, chapter, and Global Executive Council or Directorate roles as they open.
Certificate of Membership
Members who complete 18 months of active participation in GASWT's network and programmes become eligible for a formal Certificate of Membership.
