How GASWT works, not just what it believes
Values describe what GASWT stands for. This is the working method behind them — how a programme actually gets designed, piloted and handed to a region to run.
Community-rooted
Programmes are shaped with the country representatives and chapters who will use them, not designed centrally and handed down. A region's priorities set its own agenda within GASWT's shared objectives.
Partnership-driven
GASWT rarely works alone. Universities bring research infrastructure, technology partners bring tools, and existing professional bodies bring practice knowledge GASWT doesn't try to duplicate.
Evidence before adoption
New tools and methods are researched and piloted before GASWT recommends them at scale — the alliance would rather move deliberately than retract a recommendation later.
Ethics as a starting condition
Questions of consent, data privacy and algorithmic bias are asked at the start of a project, when they can still change its design, not at the end as a compliance review.
